While I am sleeping a green tiger has entered my home. I am cowering in fear on my bed. 2 people, my father and a hunter, enter the home to kill the tiger. They look for the tiger with the help or a flashlight and find it crouched in the far corner of an adjacent room. I can see it too in the light of the flashlight. The hunter hands my father the gun and signals him to take a shot. While he does so, the tiger leaps at him and claws at his head. My father, with his dying breath hands over the gun to the hunter sitting beside him. The hunter, takes the gun, hopelessly sighing but yet not moving, in a manner that the fate of all 3 of us is sealed.
Dreams involving animals, especially powerful and potentially dangerous ones like a tiger, often symbolize primal instincts, fears, or challenges that a dreamer is facing in their waking life. In your dream, the green tiger may represent an unusual or unexpected threat or emotion that is invading your safe space. The color green could signify feelings of jealousy, envy, or even renewal and growth; alternatively, it could relate to something feeling "out of control" or "wild" in your life.
Cowering in fear on the bed suggests vulnerability and a feeling of being overwhelmed by this situation or emotion. The presence of your father and the hunter points to an external source of strength or authority trying to address the threat. The hunter typically symbolizes someone skilled at confronting challenges, but in your dream, he ultimately seems to be resigned to the situation, indicating a sense of helplessness in facing the fear.
The act of the tiger attacking suggests that this threat or emotion might be more powerful or dangerous than anticipated, and it could be a reflection of internal conflicts or unresolved issues. Your father's dying breath and handing over the gun to the hunter suggest a transfer of responsibility or an acknowledgment that sometimes we cannot completely control the outcomes in our lives, no matter how hard we try.
Overall, this dream could symbolize a confluence of fear, helplessness, and the complexities of familial relationships when facing a powerful threat. It may be worth considering what recent challenges or emotions feel overwhelming in your life, and whether you feel supported or abandoned in facing them. Reflecting on your relationships, particularly with authority figures or protective figures in your life, may also provide insight into this dream's meaning.
